 George T. Palickar Jr., of Dickson City, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday February 16, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Dorothy Tosti who died March 18, 1999.
Born in Olyphant, he was the son of the late George T. Palickar Sr., and Rose Palka Palickar and Mary Radecky Palickar. He was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City and he graduated from Dickson City High School class of 1951. Prior to retirement he was employed by Thompson Corp. formerly RCA, Dunmore.
George was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving is a son George lll and his wife Susan, a daughter Terese Marie Geiges; two grandchildren, Sylvia Geiges and Ruby Susan Palickar; a sister, Rose Ann Palickar and a brother, Joseph Palickar; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Palickar Tancredo.
The funeral will be Saturday 9:30 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with mass of Christian burial, celebrated by Msgr. Patrick Pratico at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City.
